He has a Ph.D in neural networks based advanced machine learning techniques and strong expertise in embedded edge intelligence applied to computer vision, autonomous systems, sensor fusion, and robotics. He has experience in integrated hardware and software development for enterprise products applying augmented intelligence, machine vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

Paul has been on the leading edge of electronics and system design for 30 years. He led the planning team at Altera that defined the Gen10 FPGA product series. Paul’s first patent submitted in 1993, “Digitally weighted neuron for artificial neural network” helped him recognize the awesome capabilities these FPGAs and similar devices would enable for real-time neural processing. Paul has several patents granted in FPGAs, transceivers, memories, neural networks, security and IP protection.

Served as a solutions architect and engineering team builder at technology companies in the field of weapon and virtual simulation training (FATS, acquired by Meggitt Training Systems), telecommunications (Nortel), networking (Systems On Silicon, Inc, acquired by TranSwitch), and cybersecurity (Applied Identity, acquired by Citrix). Holds 28 U.S. patents in the field of evidence based predictive analytics and cyber protection.

He has spent more than 10 years in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail industries and has co-developed solutions addressing the white spaces in enterprise applications. Currently, he is a visiting faculty in prestigious institutes like IIT Mandi and IIM Kozhikode, while working on publishing his first book in 2023. He is an engineer from NIT Rourkela and holds a management degree from IIM Lucknow.
